AER network is facilitating information exchange, knowledge transfer and good practice exchange through its divers programmes and platforms. Please find more detailed informaiton on them below.
EURODYSSEY, the AER first programme, which was set up in 1985, aims at improving the chances of young Europeans to integrate into working life by offering them the opportunity of a work experience abroad.
The AER Summer School has been running since 1996 and operates as a forum for exchange of experience in the area of regional development in Europe.
The AER Youth Summer School has been held on an annual basis since 2002. It brings together young people between the ages of 18 and 24 from across Europe to exchange experiences on issues of common interest.
The AER Training Academy is delivering courses for regional representatives to increase their knowledge on certain policy areas (eg. energy), interregional governance instruments (eg. EGTC) or on specific strategies and methodologies (eg. lobbying and networking). AER Training Academies are open to all AER members, it focuses on practitioner's knowledge and exchange of experiences.
The Centurio Interreg III C Programme, gathering almost 50 Regions and lead by the Assembly of European Regions, provided an interregional platform for exchange of know-how and experience in three key areas of regional sustainable development: sustainable economic development, environmental protection and sustainable quality tourism.
