Introduction
The objective of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) is

to avoid the emergence of new dividing lines between the enlarged EU and the EU neighbours and to strengthen the prosperity, stability and security of all concerned. The EU offers its neighbours a privileged relationship, building upon a mutual commitment to common values.

The European Neighbourhood Policy concerns

Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia and Ukraine. Russia is also a neighbour of the EU.

Review of the European Neighborhood Policy 2011

In 2010 the European Commission started a process of reviewing the current ENP and its financial instruments.

On 25 of May it published this Communication: A new response to a changing Neighbourhood setting out its vision on how the ENP should work and operate in the future.

The financial assistance of the European Neighbourhood Policy is

since 1 January 2007 defined in a single instrument – the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI).  Please check this side for further funding information: European Neighbourhood Policy Funding

The ENP is further supported by regional forms of cooperation such as the Eastern Partnership, the Union for the Mediterranean, and the Black Sea Synergy.
