Überflutungen, Erdbeben, Feuer, ein großer Unfall, ...
Wie sollten Region reagieren? Wie kann sich eine Region für solche Notfälle vorbereiten?
Bis 2010 zielte das VRE Netzwerk darauf ab,

The FLINKMAN project aimed to improve flood risk management through the development of an overarching framework that allows all actors involved in flood management to be linked.
More specifically, the project intended to improve the handling of best practices across the EU by the development of new support tools, to promote transnational cooperation with competent bodies in Europe and to develop existing civil protection modules further.
The FLINKMAN project was led by the region of Central Macedonia (GR) but also involved the Province of Noord-Brabant (NL), the region of Hessen (D), the Balkan Environmental Center (GR) and the Sigma Consultants Ltd. (GR).
It was co-financed by the European Commission under the Civil Protection Financial Instrument and run from January 2010 until December 2011.
As partner, the AER disseminated information on the project’s progress and outcomes to AER members and helped the partners identify interested stakeholders that could contribute to the project.
