2nd AER Conference on regional economic development

Identify key tools for successfully supporting eco-innovation in Europe

[Translate to Deutsch:]

In the Lisbon Strategy, eco-innovation is considered as a key tool to increase the competitiveness of Europe's economy while improving the quality of our environment. What can Regions do to support eco-innovation? How can they fully take advantage of the potential offered by eco-innovative technologies? What do we understand exactly under eco-innovation?

Our Conference aims, on the basis of best practices from the Regions, at identifying key  tools for successfully supporting eco-innovation in Europe. Regional politicians and civil servants have been invited to our event, as well as relevant private stakeholders, in particular banking institutes, but also development agencies. The Conference will also be attended by high-level representatives from EU institutions, in particular the EC.
