Sound energy management has been for many years at the heart of the collective action of AER regions. In 2006, AER put in place together with FEDARENE the joint declaration in favor of renewable energies and energy efficiency. Two years later, MORE4NRG, Interreg IVC project based on AER peer review methodology, saw the light. Bringing together 12 partners from all over Europe; 11 regions, AER and Eurisy, the European association aiming at promoting the use of satellite imagery, this partnership has been designed to help local territories improve their sustainable energy strategies and create a specific tool for measuring their progress towards the achievement of their energy targets.
The aim of the conference was to present the very first outcomes of MORE4NRG project after 3 state-of-the-art seminars and peer review in the regions of Maramureş. This event also sought to feature new funding opportunities for regions and best practice in the area of energy efficiency. The three interactive workshops help our members find out how to tackle energy efficiency in the sectors of agriculture, transport, industry and housing.
