AER eHe@lth Seminar

eHealth

eHealth has the potential to revolutionalise the way we conceive healthcare and to change our expectations of healthcare systems. Accessing information at any time and in any place eases the work of health professionals but also of patients, who expect quick, quality and efficient treatment at all times.

Yet easy access must also be counterbalanced by security and guarantees of data protection and privacy. Our rules on data protection often impede the full implementation of ehealth tools and a way to allow the two to coexist must be found.

This seminar brought together some 30 regional politicians and officers to discuss the legal challenges they encountered when developing ehealth and how they overcame these.

Presentations are available hereunder.
