AER Committee 3 members will meet on 20-21 September in Svolvaer (Nordland) for their Sub-Committee and Plenary meetings. This event will be combined with the AER Conference on Youth Employment where regional and local representatives will discuss concrete actions taken at the regional level aimed at helping young people transition into the work environment. Special attention will be given to successful initiatives in developing entrepreneurship culture among young people.
-Specific topics will include:
- The position of the Youth Regional Network - presentation of the conclusions reached by the YRN on Youth Employment following its meeting in Paris in December 2009
- The role of apprenticeship and internships in facilitating the leap from school to work
-The Youth Entrepreneurship Strategy - The Interreg project led by Östergötland (S)
- Regional entrepreneurship strategies
- Giving young people the tools to set up their own businesses
The Conference will be followed by the AER Citizen’s Forum on the relationship between Norway and the European Union entitled "Norway in the EU - will it ever happen?"
