AER Committee 3 Fall Plenary meeting

AER Committee 3 seeks to strengthen its cooperation with the other AER Committees. On the occasion of the 2011 fall plenary meeting in Istanbul, members of Committee 3 are therefore invited to also participate in the plenary meeting of Committee (2) Social Affairs & Public Health. These meetings will take place on 19 and 21 September respectively, at the brand new Istanbul Provincial House. All participants are also invited to join the conference organised in cooperation between the two Committees on a relevant topic for us all : Culture and Health on 20 September (see links in the right-hand column).

As for the Committee 3 plenary, it will particularly focus on two themes:

- Roma and Travelling people with some presentations of good practices and a discussion of the AER strategy.
- Promotion of our regional heritage. We will present an innovative tool for the promotion of our cultural heritage : Topic-Topos as well as the other existing tools such as the new European Heritage Label or the European Capital of Culture label. Some AER member regions will also discuss their experience in this field.

Istanbul will be a great opportunity to learn and exchange about a wide range of regional policy issues in just one trip. We hope to see many of you in Istanbul !
