The Assembly of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina is the first PYE partner region to hold the AER Peer Review on Youth Employment in the framework of the Promoting Youth Employment (PYE) project: 4 international experts will be taking part in study visits, interviews and presentations in order to create a tailor-made list of recommendations. Outcomes of this analysis will lead to Vojvodina's Regional Action Plan where specific policy recommendations will be set out to improve young people’s access to jobs in the region.
Vojvodina has approximately 2 million inhabitants, 300.000 of which are young people. The region prides itself on its multi-ethnicity and multi-cultural identity, however, according to its employment strategy it is experiencing certain issues related to youth employment such as the "No experience, no job - no job, no experience" dilemma and brain drain of young educated people.
Why PYE?
Through its involvement in PYE, Vojvodina would like to tackle the following challenges:
The main target group will include unemployed young people, both young people with a secondary school degree and/or university degree.
International experts:
Vesna KAMENAROVIĆ, Assembly of AP of Vojvodina, Advisor for Employment issues at the Provincial Secretariat for Labor, Employment and Gender Equality, Sector for Employment (SRB)
Miguel MARES GARCES, President of Valencia Region Local Development Agencies Association (E)
Goran VUKMANIĆ, Croatian Employment Service, Regional Office Krapina Zagorje (HR)
