
After the Spanish presidency, and with Hungary as the third contributor, it is now up to Belgium to carry on with the joint 18 months programme. Apart from the continued work on the ongoing initiatives, there will also be an own emphasis.
The collaboration within the trio presidency and the effects of the political transition in Belgium are some of various issues that are being vastly discussed in the public discourse.
Concerning the contents, the Belgium presidency, like the Spanish, will have to deal with a variety of issues, such as the impact of the economic and financial crisis, migration, security, climate change and sustainable energy, whereas the future of the European Cohesion Policy is one of the topics fundamentally important to regions. This Breakfast Briefing focuses on cohesion policy and addresses the main proposals as well the policies in this area.
The Breakfast Briefing will take place on 9 July at the AER Brussels Office.
