AER Training Academy - Making use of European Structural Funds

Teach more about European Cohesion policy, Structural funds

 
On 10/11 June the AER Training Academy took place in Brussels in order to teach more about European Cohesion policy, Structural funds and how regions can make the best use of it. 
Background

"Reducing disparities between the various regions and reducing the backwardness of the least-favoured regions" - is the main objective of the European Cohesion Policy. 

On which principles is it based? What are the future perspectives? How can regions make their voices heard when it comes to the future of Cohesion policy? How do you communicate the usage of structural funds in your region? How are the structural funds adapted so that the challenges of the economic crisis can be met? Learn - debate -exchange and network at the upcoming training session.

 Target group:
  • managing authorities
  • program implementors
  • intermediary agencies

 

Format of the training:
  • two day training session
  • small group of around 25 participants in order to ensure direct involvement of all participants
  • application of peer learning method - facilitators of the sessions are working themselves in the area they are teaching and are employed by a regional authority
  • active engagement of participants - exchange of experience
  • free of charge for AER members

Afternoon: Representation of Baden-Württemberg to the EU, Rue Belliard 60-62, Brussels

 

SECOND DAY- 11 JUNE

Whole day: Regional office of Lazio to the EU, Rond-Point Schuman, 14, 8°floor, B-1040 Brussels
