Our last Breakfast Briefing before the summer break, has taken place on 10th of July 2008 and has focused on the Youth In Action Programme.
The Youth In Action Programme provides comparable information, evidence, analyses and scenarios on framework conditions for the development of regions and larger territories.
The current generation of young Europeans is the first to have grown up in a largely borderless and peaceful Europe. This is a Europe where they can move around freely, work and learn more easily than ever before - and it is very different to the one their grandparents, or even parents, grew up in.
The event started at 9am with a small networking breakfast that was followed by a presentation of AER projects by Margorzata Kucinska, AER Youth Officer. Finally, we welcomed Mr Giorgio Guazzugli-Marini, from DG EAC, Youth in Action Programme, as speaker from the European Commission.
The event was kindly hosted by the Brussels-Europe Liaison Office who provided us with a complete and delicious breakfast. Further information on its location and services here.
Youth in Action is the EU Programme for young people aged 15-28. It aims to inspire a sense of active citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union's future.
Youth in Action promotes mobility within and beyond the EU borders, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue, and encourages the inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background.
