AER Breakfast Briefing
The AER Breakfast Briefing, co-organised with the representation of Valencian looked into EU Structural Funds and Public-Private Partnerships for local development in the EU's New Member States.
The EU Structural Funds and Public-private partnership (PPP) are very important, especially for the local development in new Member States. The European Commission has identified four principal advantages for the private sector in PPP schemes: to provide additional capital; to provide alternative management and implementation skills; to provide value added to the consumer and the public at large and to provide better identification of needs and optimal use of resources.
The aim of the AER Breakfast Briefing was to understand better the use of the EU Structural Funds and Public-private partnership (PPP) thanks to the contribution of experts from the European Commission and the European Investment Bank. The representation of Valencia contributed with its experience in interregional cooperation, PPP and EU funding in general.
The Breakfast Briefing was followed by a project Forum with 7 different thematic working tables.
