In response to the kind invitation of the Jämtland County Council, AER Committee 3 "Culture, Education and interregional cooperation" will organise a Conference on "Youth & Media" on 3rd October 2007 in Östersund, followed by its plenary meeting on 4th & 5th October.
The conference will examine the existing correlations between the above mentioned policy areas as well as those policies and factors that influence them. Futhermore, the conference will seek to provide Regions with tools to develop media strategies.
The subsequent meetings of Committee 3's Working Groups, Sub-Committees and Plenary will, amongst others, focus on establishing an AER Media Policy. They will be helped in this task by the results of a survey that will be carried among the AER members in view of the Östersund meeting.
