"I am honoured to be welcoming delegates from all over Europe to our county. Over the last days we have had an opportunity to share learning and experiences and to explore opportunities for greater collaboration in ways of using technology to ensure that people can live independent and inclusive lives. We also showcased examples of good practice in Donegal in terms of independence and inclusion with site visits to Donegal Centre for Independent Living, Cara House, Letterkenny Youth and Family Service and Glen Outdoor Early Education Centre. One of the key success factors is the bottom up approach taken by the various initiatives and partnership working with agencies such as Donegal County Council, the HSE and other funders. We are at the very early stages of this process and we look forward to greater collaboration and intense engagement with AER".
Cllr. John CAMPBELL, Chair of Donegal County Council.
