The contribution to the European Commission’s new flagship initiative “YOUTH ON THE MOVE” is the result of a debate that took place during the AER Youth Summer School on Mobillity (22-27 August 2010 in St.Gallen, CH), where young people discussed ways in which we can further contribute to matters of mobility for Europe’s youth.
The common position of young people from European regions was created on the basis of:
- Discussions between participants of AER Youth Summer School 2010
- Discussions at the Round Table on Mobility during the 3rd meeting of Youth Regional Network in Paris (December 2009.
We strongly believe in the “Youth on the Move” initiative as it representative muticulturalism, education and mobility and translates these efforts it into everyday tools for European youth.
We look forward to creating a better dialogue between AER Youth Regional Network and European Commission's “Youth on the Move” programme and to hearing about the next steps.

Youth Ambassador is a young person responsible for getting other young people in their region interested in regional and European cooperation. The role of Youth Ambassador is to inform other young people about sound ways of water management and also to explain to politicians – regional, national and European – what young people want them to do in relation to this important topic.
This year, young participants of the AER Summer School 2009 stand a chance of becoming Water Ambassadors in their regions!
On the last day of the AER Summer School, young participants had an opportunity to take part in a debate focusing on an important question : “Water: public or private good?”.
The debate was covered by Europarl TV and was moderated by Ms Danuta Hübner, Member of the European Parliament.
AER Summer Schools members are also on Facebook. Join the group and make your contribution.
Youth Ambassador is a young person responsible for getting other young people in their region interested in regional and European cooperation. The role of Youth Ambassador is to inform other young people about Youth Entrepreneurship and also to explain to politicians – regional, national and European – what young people want them to do in relation to this important topic. After the Youth Summer School, each AER Ambassador will organise an activity in his/her region on the theme of Youth Entrepreneurship. The activities might be, for example, a project to increase knowledge about Youth Entrepreneurship, information campaigns or a strategy what your region can do for the Youth Entrepreneurship etc… This means that there will be activities taking place all across Europe, which will show that young citizens take responsibility for the future of their region and for Europe. As a grand finale to all your activities, AER will organise an event called “Meet the Policymakers”. This will give the chance to present Youth Ambassadors' activities and ideas to important European policy-makers. At this meeting, a jury will also look at the prize “AER Youth Ambassador Project 2008”.

This year three projects on Youth Entrepreneurship in the European regions are the outcomes of the Youth Summer School 2008. Two of them will be presented during the AER Communication Conference and they were made by three youth ambassadors: Anton Kuzmin, Ben Jones and Glen Jankowski. The last project is made by Pandora Ellis who togather with young people made the Toolkit for Youth Entrepreneurs.
During the whole year, the Ambassadors are organising in their regions an activity on sustainable development (debate, information campaign, short film, quiz etc…). As a grand finale, the AER Youth Ambassadors met in Brussels the 17th April 2008. At this meeting Youth Ambassadors had a chance to present their activities to Mr. Ladislav MIKO, Director of Directorate B - Protecting the Natural Environment, DG ENV, European Commission and to tell what young people think on environment and sustainable development.
The aim of the meeting was as well to select the best AER Youth Ambassadors Project.

Anton Kuzmin together with Olomouc Region Youth County Council prepared the project: “Debating Tournament for the Healthier Surrounding” on 7th March in Olomouc. The activity was organised as a five round debate tournament for more than 100 pupils of the high schools and the higher classes of the middle schools, aged between 14 and 20. Students had to express their own opinion on the themes they received along with the invitation for the event (for example: "we should recycle more than now", "we should introduce more environment-friendly public transportation", "protecting of the green belts have to be changed". They had about 1 month time to prepare their viewpoints. A jury of judges was made up of members of the Youth county council of the Olomouc Region.
