Introduction

Aim:

  • Familiarize participants to the institutional set up of the European institutions
  • Introduce them to the concept of institutional lobbying
  • Make them aware of the role of the regions in the Brussels environment and how they can participate in the institutional decision-making
  • Show participants how the Sofia Brussels office can be used more efficiently by showcasing examples of other regional offices
  • Raise awareness about how Bulgarian regions can cooperate more efficiently in a network
  • Inform participants about European funding system
  • Make them aware of how a successful project could be established  

After the training, the participants will:

  • Know about different actors and institutions in the decision making and legislative procedures in the EU Have a greater understanding of working in networks and with the Brussels offices
  • Understand the European financial framework and be aware of the different funding opportunities
  • Get practical skills in how to apply best for EU funding and prepare a project

Target Group:

Politicians, regional officers of Sofia and other Bulgarian regions.
