eHealth: from promise to sustainability

Agneta Granström, Chairperson of the AER eHe(at)lth network, will chair the first of these two workshops and contibute to the panel discussion of the second session.
The workshop will look at recent developments in ehealth and will also discuss concerns regarding data protection, supporting health stakeholders and creating a sustainable market in ehealth.
The Secretary General of the AER is taking part in the Open Days workshop on actual development issues of local – selfgovernment in Europe which is organised by the European Commission, DG Regional Policy (DG REGIO).

Together with Mr. Orlov, Head of Department for Relations with the Constituent Entities of the Federation, the Parliament, and public and political organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Mrs. Elena Sadovnikova, International Expert from the Russian Federation, Mr. Klipp will be moderating a roundtable on local self-governing processes within Europe.
The meeting will start with a short overview on recent developments within the area of regionalisation and regional governance. Afterwards the focus will shift on the exchange of best practices in the activities of local authorities and on the current state of self-government reforms in Europe. In particular the new reforms in Russia will be discussed.
