The AER Alcohol Peer Reviews bring together regions that are interested in understanding the social and economic harm caused by alcohol and that want to take action. Regions hold an open and frank discussion about the problems they perceive in their territories and exchange ideas and experience on how best to prevent alcohol-related harm.

This meeting focused on a key challenge in our societies today: responding to the changing and increasingly concerning patterns of alcohol consumption among young people.

What are the key trends in alcohol consumption today? And what can regions do to prevent harm?

Regional experts met their peers, as well as external experts, in Valencia to discuss what can be done by regional authorities. Please find hereunder the presentations that were made during our meeting. For further information about the AER Alcohol Peer Reviews and to access the outcomes of past meetings, please click here.

The AER is partner to the project "Building Capacity: Implementing Coordinated Alcohol Policy Across Europe", which is co-financed under the European Public Health Programme.
