First high level follow up meeting from the Climate Leaders Summit in Copenhagen

Jean-Paul Huchon, President of Ile-de-France, Steve Howard, CEO of the Climate Group, and Michèle Sabban, President of the Assembly of European Regions are inviting State and Regional government leaders for a high level climate meeting.

Thursday, 4th March, Conseil Régional Ile-de-France

The aim is to send a clear message for the EU to prioritize common actions towards a low carbon economy, in time for the European Council of March 25-26.

Discussions will also include:

♣    How regional governments can speed up the financing and deployment of new clean technologies

♣    A specific roundtable to discuss partnerships with regions from developing and emerging economies


This gathering of Presidents and Ministers will be the first meeting of European regions and federated states on the road to COP16 in Cancun, Mexico the 9-10 December.
