Plenary Meeting

This plenary meeting was dedicated to environmental sustainability and was an opportunity to catch up on all AER activities in this field and put forward new initiatives to promote the sustainable development of our Regions.

The event was jointly organised with the Centurio partners, who held their dissemination conference in parallel to the AER Committee C meeting. Common field visits and a common closing session allowed all participants to exchange on their respective experience, especially in the field of environement and tourism.

Outcomes: Forum Exchange Corner on Sustainable Energy
  • New! Outcome of the Forum Exchange Corner in Valencia and AER Action Plan for Energy!
    In Valencia, on 20 April 2006, a Forum Exchange Corner was organised on the issue of renewable energies. A group of Regions and stakeholders discussed about the various opportunities offered by the new EU programmes and the idea of setting up a common project for interregional cooperation in the field of energy. On the same day, Committee C members adopted the AER Action plan on energy, which provides for a series of actions to be taken in that field in the coming months.
