The regions are facing many challenges: creating employment, boosting economic growth, developing sustainably their territory struggling against climate changes. Yet, they show amazing innovating abilities to adapt themselves to a quick-moving social, economical and environmental reality.
Nevertheless, they cannot solve the economical problems that Europe is facing on their own. Companies, institutions, non-governmental organizations have to be involved in the elaboration of sectorial policies in order to make the transition out of the crisis.
This summit aimed to be a meeting place for all stakeholders, to create dynamic exchange of expertise, solutions and forward-thinking converted into political recommendations.
The last European Council meeting took place on 28-29 June 2012. You can find more information about the event here.
