Internship vacancy at the Assembly of European Regions Committee 1 'Economy and Regional development'

Duration: 4 to 6 months

Starting Date: 3 September 2012

Location: Strasbourg (F)

The AER Committee 1 secretariat is searching for an intern. His/her task will be to assist Committee 1 in the organisation of conferences, drafting of policy papers, monitor European news on relevant topics. Should you be interested in such a position, you would need to be autonomous, proactive, organised, eager to work in team.

Key Tasks:

• Participation in the organisation of a Conference in autumn
• Research work on specific issues
• Participation in the daily business of the AER Committee 1 secretariat
• Support to the AER website's regular update

Requirements:

• An understanding of EU institutions and policy-making processes
• An understanding of the role of the regions in Europe
• Proven analytical and research skills Interest in Committee 1's working areas
• Experience in organising events and meetings would be an advantage
• Fluent English and French required
• Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage.
