
Introduction
Aim:
- Familiarize participants to the institutional set up of the European institutions
- Introduce them to the concept of institutional lobbying
- Make them aware of the role of the regions in the Brussels environment and how they can participate in the institutional decision-making
- Show participants how the Sofia Brussels office can be used more efficiently by showcasing examples of other regional offices
- Raise awareness about how Bulgarian regions can cooperate more efficiently in a network
- Inform participants about European funding system
- Make them aware of how a successful project could be established
After the training, the participants will:
- Know about different actors and institutions in the decision making and legislative procedures in the EU Have a greater understanding of working in networks and with the Brussels offices
- Understand the European financial framework and be aware of the different funding opportunities
- Get practical skills in how to apply best for EU funding and prepare a project
Target Group:
Politicians, regional officers of Sofia and other Bulgarian regions.
