• Increasing knowledge about burning political energy issues and innovative energy technologies through thematic seminars and study visits
• Obtaining information on spectacular energy projects developed by other European regions, as well as products and services provided by private companies such as GE Energy, BMW, Johnson Controls

Networking

• Fostering the exchange of experience and good regional practice in the domain of energy and climate change
• Identifying best examples in these disciplines - how were they delivered? How to transfer them?
• Finding partners to develop joint initiatives, solve common problems and provide appropriate solutions

Project development

• Setting up new European projects
• Developing peer reviews to evaluate the quality of regional energy policies
