6 November 2008 - Commission closed session on public procurement in e-health
The European Commission invited AER to nominate a limited number of experts in public procurement and health. The Commission financed the participation (travel & accommodation) of a selection of these.
Agneta Granström (Norrbotten-S), Chairperson of the AER e-he@lth network, chaired the first of these two workshops and contributed to the panel discussion of the second session.
The workshop looked at recent developments in e-health and also discussed concerns regarding data protection, supporting health stakeholders and creating a sustainable market in e-health.
Friday 3 October (09:00-12:00), Forum 5: Innovations in coordinated care
Agneta Granström, Chairperson of the AER eHe@lth network, moderated the panel dicussion that concentrated on the following questions: Does ICT have the power to change national health systems? What are the practical aspects of enabling transborder care?
On the invitation of the European Commission (DG Information Society), AER's delegation participated in the eHealth Ministerial Conference, which was exclusively addressed to national governments of the EU Member States. The theme of the Conference was: 'eHealth Without Frontiers'.
