Internship vacancy at the Assembly of European Regions Committee 1 'Economy and Regional development'

Duration: 3 to 6 months

Location: Strasbourg (F)

The AER Committee 1 secretariat is searching for an intern. His/her task will be to assist Committee 1 in the organisation of Conferences, drafting of policy papers, monitor European news on relevant topics. Should you be interested in such a position, you would need to be autonomous, proactive, organised, eager to work in team.

Key Tasks:

• Participation in the organisation of events
• Research work on specific issues
• Participation in the screening of applications for the AER innovation award
• Participation in the daily business of the AER Committee 1 secretariat
• Support to the AER website's regular update
• Regular drafting of thematic newsletters

Requirements:

• An understanding of EU institutions and policy-making processes
• An understanding of the role of the regions in Europe
• Proven analytical and research skills Interest in Committee 1's working areas
• Fluent English required
• Speak at least one of the 2 other AER working languages (French/German)
• Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage.
