Culture in a globalizing world

The AER Committee 3 played a major role in the current discussions on the new and future EU cultural policies, following the publication of the “Communication on a European Agenda for Culture in a Globalising World”.

The AER will continue to monitor the discussions to ensure that the regional competencies in culture are respected, that EU cultural programmes are targeted sufficiently to the regions and that European cultural policies also cover non-EU member states.
