In September 2005, Eurodyssey turned 20 in La Saline Royale d'Arc-et-Senan, in the heart of Franche-Comté. President Forni (Franche-Comté, F) and President Illy (Friuli Venezia Giulia, I - AER) chaired the celebrations. At the annual Forum, where regional organizers have an opportunity to exchange experience with each other and discuss the future of the program, member regions took stock of 20 years of interregional cooperation, which gave the opportunity to thousands of young people to open up their minds and improve their skills, and discussed about the way to solve the problems that may arise when implementing the program. This year's Forum was followed up by an international conference on 'International training and mobility for young people, a challenge for European regions', which gathered more than 200 participants from 70 regions as well as the European Institutions. The conference showed political decision-makers and civil servants working in this field at regional level the real benefits to young people and companies of broadening their horizons internationally.
